Sonny Jurgenson was the NFL's best pure passer over a career that stretched from 1957-74. Jurgenson played with only eight winning teams, three as a starter. He was Norm Van Brocklin's backup in 1960 when the Eagles won a championship. He was aging and injured in 1972 when George Allen's Redskins advanced to the Superbowl behind Billy Kilmer. Sonny accumulated three NFL passing titles along with five 3,000-yard seasons; and five of 400+ passing yards. He once threw TD's in 23 consecutive games. When he retired, he owned an impressive 82.6 passer rating and a .571 completion percentage. Sonny participated in 218 regular season games, throwing 4,262 times, completing 2,433 passes for 32,224 yards and 255 touchdowns. He also rushed for an additional 15 touchdowns. Sonny was a 5 time All-Pro in 1961, 1964, 1966-67, 1969.
