Dallas Cowboys: Authorized Pictorial History by Jeff Guinn
Dallas Cowboys Pictorial History Dallas Cowboys: The Authorized Pictorial History is exactly what its title suggests. For the first time ever, a book has been written with the full cooperation of the Cowboys organization. Tex Schramm tells how he and Clint Murchison worked behind the scenes to convince the NFL owners that they should place a franchise in Dallas. Schramm explains why he wanted Tom Landry as the Cowboys first head coach. Roger Staubach and Drew Pearson combine to tell what really happened on both ends of the famous "Hail Mary" pass. A season by season account of Cowboys history is also included along with an in-depth section devoted exclusively to team statistics. Enclosed are the finest (enhanced) Cowboy photos ever presented, including some that haven't been featured anywhere in decades. The Authorized History is the ultimate book that captures all the excitement and excellence of "America's Team".

Note: Jeff Guinn is associate books editor of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
